President
Mark W. Bagnall, CLU is the founder and president of the bagnall company. He has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and employee benefits industry.
the bagnall company began operations in 1995. Since that time, the company has grown to a client equivalent premium base of nearly $40 million, serving nearly 70 clients.
Mark is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and has held held senior management positions with a number of companies, including a 12 year tenure with a major insurance company and 5 years with a large regional employee benefits consulting company.
Mark has consulted with some of the largest managed healthcare companies in the United States including HMO’s ranging in size from 20,000 members to 120,000 members. He has developed products in managed healthcare and flexible benefits for Third Party Payors, served as an expert witness in employee benefit litigation, is past President of the Arizona Employee Benefit Association, and past Chairman of the Board of Directors for SAFE Q Federal Credit Union.
A graduate of the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Mark received his Certificate in Employee Benefits Law in 2003 specializing in the complexities of employer-sponsored group benefits. He also holds a Certificate of Achievement in Public Plan Policy from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Mark has a passion for flying and has logged over 500 hours as pilot-in-command.
Chief Operating Officer
Cynthia P. Walter, RHU, REBC, has served as Chief Operating Officer of the bagnall company since 2008. Cynthia has a strong background in Administrative Services Only (ASO/Self-Funded), Minimum Premium, and Fully Insured arrangements.
Cynthia attended Arizona State University (ASU) where she served as President of the American Marketing Association. After graduating from ASU and the College of Business Honors program with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, she went to work for a large general insurance company as a Senior Financial Underwriter specializing in groups from 50-11,000 lives. She was later accepted into the company’s Sales Excellence Learning and Leadership Program as a New Business Manager.
Cynthia currently holds industry designations of Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and Registered Employee Benefit Consultant (REBC).
Vice President – Business Services & Development
Adam R. Walter, GBA, has been with the bagnall company since 2008, currently serving as Vice President – Business Services & Development. Adam’s experience in consultative account management includes a strong background in underwriting, alternative funding, consumer driven health plans (CDHP’s and HSA’s), and wellness strategies.
Adam began his career in employee benefits as an underwriter for a major healthcare insurance company consulting with employer groups of 200 to 5,000 employees. He has intimate knowledge in multiple contract arrangements, experience analysis methodologies, and reserve and retention ratio analyses. His past experience includes Senior Account Management responsibilities with two major healthcare and multi-specialty insurance companies while working with a variety of employer-sponsored plans.
Adam served six honorable years in the United States Air Force. Afterward he earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Arizona. Adam holds the following employee benefit designation: Group Benefit Associate (GBA).
Account Executive
Lindsey LaRue, is committed to providing exceptional service by establishing and maintaining a strong working relationship with clients and vendors. Her responsibilities include developing a personalized service plan for each client to manage goals and expectations, resolving daily claim billing and eligibility issues, authenticating vendor contracts, negotiating with vendors, facilitating supplies and materials for open enrollment meetings and implementing new programs. She also works with your Human Resource Department to ensure access to tools, resources and knowledge necessary to administer benefits. Lindsey maintains the employee benefit websites for your company to ensure your staff has immediate access to complete benefit plan information.
Lindsey joined the bagnall company in May of 2001 and has worked in a variety of staff positions. She most recently served as Director of Client Services but has also worked as an Account Service Coordinator and Director of Office Management.
Lindsey attended Arizona State University before transferring to the University of Phoenix, where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She also holds her Arizona Life, Accident/Health license.
Director – Employee Wellness Promotion
Lisa Weston, CCWC, joined the bagnall company in as Director of Employee Wellness Promotion in 2010. She brings superior administrative skills gained through positions in healthcare, education and the public sector. Her past experience includes development, implementation, management and monitoring wellness programs for a variety of employers. Lisa believes that wellness programs should be educational with a “whole health” approach. She has implemented a variety of wellness initiatives that have enjoyed a history of excellent participation rates. One of the programs (implemented for a large employer encouraging exercise) achieved a 65% participation rate among active employees.
Lisa is a Certified Corporate Wellness Coach with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix. She has a strong background in health education, organization and efficiency management and healthcare improvement.
Director – Human Resource Consulting
Lynda McKay, joined the bagnall company as Director of Human Resource Consulting in 2010. Lynda supports clients by promoting positive employee relations practices such as on-boarding, retention, employee relations and training and development.
Lynda has over 12 years of professional human resources experience. Her expertise includes employment practices and policies administration, employee performance development, compensation assessments and conflict resolution through mediation and training.
Prior to joining the bagnall company, Lynda served as an HR consultant for companies of various sizes and industries and played a key role in supporting the client’s strategic goals and mission. She has served as the HR Manager to large international corporations as well as small to mid-size companies.
Lynda graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State University of New York (SUNY) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She is recertifying now as a Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) with the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
